This past Sunday, I visited Muzeul Satului, Bucharest’s outdoor museum that preserves and celebrates Romania’s domestic architectural history…and it got its start here over a hundred years ago! This is a “must see” for anyone visiting the city, particularly if the weather is as beautiful as it was today. I missed the arts and crafts “in practice” that I experienced at Oslo’s outdoor folk museum; however, I was well satisfied with this visit and plan to return. Plus, after living in south Texas for so many years, it’s wonderful to have autumn temps and colors!
The museum’s website is available in English.
