I spent part of the day at the university’s Saturday theatre outreach program known at “UNATC Junior,” which is team-taught by the graduate students in the pedagogy program. (These are the students I teach every Tuesday afternoon.) This is a trial program supported by a government grant and offered free of charge to the city’s youth, who are divided into four age groups: 4-7, 7-10, 10-14, and 14-18. The first three groups meet for a single hour in the morning, but the high schoolers meet for two or more hours. I was much impressed by my students: so much energy, such commitment, and so much fun!
